 What is it?

Selective colour is a personal favourite editing technique of mine where you select a colour(s) and make the rest of image black & white making that colour (or colours) stand out, excentionating those features in that colour

What can I use it for?

This is especially effective when being used on eyes or items of clothing. The effect is amplified when the aspect you are having in colour is a really bold colour. It is a good way of drawing the gaze towards a certain aspect of the image

As with all aspects of photography, it is all just a big game of trial and error. Find what works for you and stick with it!
